Real Salvation deals with your:
- Belief
There is a God. There is only one God; the God of the Bible.
He gave us a moral law to follow and all of us have broken it.
All people are eternal and will live forever in either Heaven or Hell after their bodies die.
Heaven is a place of eternal joy with God. Hell is a place of eternal torture that you can never escape.
God doesn’t want you to go to Hell, so He came to Earth in the form of a Man-Jesus the Christ.
Jesus perfectly followed God’s moral law.
God gave his Son, Jesus, and let Him be killed on the cross to take the punishment for the sins of mankind. More importantly, He did it so you could be forgiven of your sin so you won’t have to spend eternity in Hell.
Jesus defeated death, rose from the grave, and ascended into Heaven, giving access to all who will believe, repent, and trust Him as LORD as Master!
Do you believe all this? If so, great, but that doesn’t make you a Christian, and it doesn’t save you from an eternity in Hell….
- Brokenness
Admit that you have sinned against God and deserve an eternity of torture and punishment in Hell. Be convicted of your sin, not just sorry you are experiencing Earthly consequences. Acts 2:37-47. James 2:19. John 2;24. Revelation 20:11-15; 21:8.
- Behavior
You must believe this Gospel enough to repent of your sins, and trust Christ as your LORD and Master. Mark 1:15. Good behavior doesn’t get you to Heaven, but a real Christian’s behavior will be different. You cannot “quit sinning” and come to God. You will know you have been saved by the penalty of sin, when you are delivered from the power of sin through the Holy Spirit inside you. You cannot live a perfect life, but a real Christian will not habitually live in sin. Romans 8:1-17

- Benefits
Not only do you get eternal life with God, but you can experience true joy on Earth no matter what circumstances you encounter. Philippians 4:11-13.
